MR. DONALD GORDON passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the age of 94 years.

Don is survived by children Roger (Valerie) of Calgary, and their children David (BJ), Jason (Cherie) and Collin (Dixie) all of Calgary; Caran McKenzie of Raymond and her children, Susan (Shawn) Gouw of Skiff, Wade (Ginger) Moss of Raymond; Don also has 12 great-grandchildren and one brother-in-law Cecil De Pratu of Lethbridge.

Don was born on May 21, 1916 on the farm east of Warner. As a young man Don loved playing baseball and in later years he enjoyed curling and golfing. He could still play a good game of golf at the Raymond Golf Course well into his 80's. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club.

Don married Martha, his childhood sweetheart in 1938. He was a grain buyer at this time. He joined the RCAF during WWII. After the war, Don worked for Massey Ferguson. He travelled Southern Alberta. He and Martha made lasting friends in every town they lived in. Don managed the Marquis Hotel and the Elks Club in Medicine Hat for many years.

Don spent his last 4 years in Raymond at the Ridgeview Lodge. He enjoyed living there and had great friends.

At Don's request, there will be no funeral. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
