Donald Charles

MR. DONALD CHARLES of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Josephena Charles, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011, at the age of 91 years.

Donald was born on February 5, 1920 in Wendsbury, England. He immigrated to Canada in 1924, settling in Lethbridge in 1927. He grew up in Lethbridge and was educated here. He joined the army in 1940, served overseas and married Josephena in 1945 in Scotland and returned to Canada. He became an electrician, and worked for Roy Electric and later at Sicks Lethbridge Brewery until retirement.

Donald is survived by his brother Stan, sons; Kerry (Barb) and Murray (Cindy), grandchildren; David, Elizabeth, Richard, and Michelle, his nephews; Chris (Dawn) Charles and family and Stuart (Margaret) Kerr and family, and niece Teena Kerr and family.

Besides his loving wife Josephena, he was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Olive Charles.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Brian Magee, officiating.

Interment at Archmount Cemetery.
