Dianne Schebel

After a courageous battle with cancer, the world has lost a bright light,
MRS. DIANNE M. SCHEBEL of Lethbridge passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the age of 68 years.

Dianne was born at the Galt Hospital in Lethbridge, one of three children to Marnie and Al Goddard on December 10, 1942. She grew up in Fort Macleod, attended High School, later attended the Lethbridge Community College and graduated as a Veterinarian Assistant.

Dianne married Matt Schebel in 1962 and together they raised their family in both Fort Macleod and Lethbridge.

Dianne will be well remembered for her years working in retail clothing. She worked at The Primrose, Mary Robison's, Cindy's in LA and Calman Dress; but most recently she has worked at the Lethbridge Senior's Centre Organization (LSCO) as an activities coordinator for the past 10 years. She loved people and she loved her work. She collected friends wherever she went, and she enjoyed organizing activities for everyone.

Dianne loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. She loved her family, grandchildren and all, entertaining family and friends and dressing with flair. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Dianne is survived by her daughters Jacqueline (Ian) Lowe of Lethbridge, Kimberly (Rob) Harkness of Taber, Marcia (Dylan) Harris of Calgary; son Mark (Lonnie) Schebel of Calgary; brother Frank Cyr of Lethbridge; grandchildren Ashley, Ryan, Evan, Talia, Mia and Nicholas; and her loving partner Ronald Irvine of Lethbridge.

Besides her loving parents Marnie and Al Goddard; Dianne was predeceased by her brother David.

Relatives and Friends are welcome to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 9:00pm, on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
