MR. PETER CONLIN DAVY of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mary Davy, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the age of 90 years.

Peter was born on February 9, 1917 in Smith Falls, Ont., he grew up and farmed in the Shaughnessy district until retiring to Picture Butte in 1987. Later he moved to Lethbridge and resided at Grandview until his passing.

Peter married Lois (Nordquist) on October 16, 1939. They enjoyed many years together until her death on August 2, 1983. He married the second love of his life, Mary, July 5, 1986.

Peter is survived by his two children, Gordon Davy and Shirley Swartzenberger (Henry), Loni Campbell; grandchildren Colin (Laurie) Davy, Scott Davy, Dan Davy, Cheryl (Garry) Gundmundson, Lorna (Bernie) Wyrostok, Judy (Mike) Schimanski, Rod (Brenda) Swartzenberger, Wayne Koyata, 13 great-grandchildren; step children Eleanor (Garry) Harrison, Dina (Mike) Wolansky, Walter Pol, Iner Johnson; step grandchildren Eugene De Vries, Shawnna De Vries, Laurie De Vries, Dawn De Vries, Darlene (Gary) Keeping, Tanis (Darcy) Fletcher, Gaylene (Darcy) Yelenik, Klinton Johnson, Sheldon Harrison, Shannon (Ralph) Kiertead; 16 step great grandchildren and cousin Fred Bishopp of Detriot, Michigan.

Besides Lois, Peter was predeceased by his son-in-law Henry Swartzenberger, step daughter Mary Ann Johnson, brother Virnell (Mike) and sister-in-law Lenora Davy.

Music was always a great part of Peter's life. He found great enjoyment playing the accordion or drums for many dances, parties and also for the Picture Butte Elks Patrol Team. Peter was a life time member of the Picture Butte Elks. He continued to pick up his accordion and play his favorite tunes until his health would no longer allow it. Many winters of being a Snowbird and traveling to Arizona was a great delight for him and Lois and later with Mary.

Peter was a neighbor and friend to many and a special ""Uncle Pete"" to many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Bill Roycroft, officiating.

A special Thank You to the staff at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on unit 4C and 5B for the compassionate care and assistance they gave to Peter and his family. Also a heart felt thank you to our devoted friend Trudy Van Vaerenbergh, your love and support will always be appreciated.
