David Theodore

MR. DAVID J. THEODORE, beloved husband of Brenda (Dahl) Kessel passed away on June 8, 2009 at the age of 72 years.

David was born in Sweetgrass, Montana, January 26, 1937 and was raised on a farm east of Coutts, Alberta. He attended school in Coutts and graduated in 1955. He then attended Mount Royal College for 2 years. He worked for Canadian Immigration for 2 years.

David married Marjorie Vornbrook in July 1960. They later divorced in 1982. With this union they were blessed with four children; Kevin (Ilona) of Lethbridge, Cheryl (Don) Gilmore of Taber, Debra (Stewart) Ackroed of Lethbridge, and Craig of Lethbridge. Also surviving is his brother Cliff of Lethbridge and seven grandchildren.

David became a customs officer at Coutts in 1961. In May to August he was sent to Germany to customs clear soldiers returning to Canada. He then moved to Regina to work as an auditor. In 1969 he became Administrative Officer in the Western Region. In 1976 he moved to Lethbridge as Manager of Southern Alberta. In 1989 he was moved by Ottawa to Coutts.

He married Brenda Kessel in 1991, and retired from Customs in June 1994. They then moved to Lethbridge in June of 2004.

A private funeral service will be held.
