David Duncan of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Gladys Duncan passed away peacefully on March 4, 2011 at the age of 103 years.

David was born at Leith, Edinburgh Scotland October 3, 1907 the son of John and Jane Duncan. At the age of 17 David left Scotland on a harvest excursion coming to Saskatchewan to work on a farm. After harvest he went to Toronto where he was employed by a Toronto hospital as an electrician's apprentice. He delivered bread for a short time before taking employment with IBM retiring as Service Manager in Winnipeg at age 65. David met and married his first wife Margaret McDonald in Toronto and later they moved to Winnipeg. David and Margaret had two sons, David (Laura) and John (Debra).

In May of 1991, at the age of 83 David moved to Lethbridge and married Gladys Stafford. He became a ""father"" and ""grandfather"" to Gladys' family.
David was an avid reader and kept abreast of current events by listening to CBC news. He loved the outdoors, spending vacations and weekends at their cottage on Lake of the Woods where he enjoyed his sailboat. Another outdoor activity that he enjoyed was the game of golf.

All, whom knew David, considered him to be a true gentleman.

Besides his loving wife Gladys, David is survived by his two sons: David (Laura) of St Anne, Manitoba and John (Debra) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

David was predeceased by his parents John and Jane Duncan, his first wife Margaret and his one brother who lived in Australia.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Monday, March 14, 2011 at WESTMINSTER COMMUNITY CENTER, 411 - 16th Street North, Lethbridge, with Lloyd Haugen officiating.
