Service Details
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Robertson Crabb, on April 10, 2026, in Lethbridge, Alberta, at the age of 70.
David was born on March 28, 1956, and was proud to have been born and raised in "North" Lethbridge. He built a life rooted in family and community, focused on a deep love for the people and places that meant the most to him. He was also the proud owner and operator of his family-run business, DRC Communication, for 27 years, after already working for 20 years at AGT (Alberta Government Telephones) a reflection of his strong work ethic and dedication to his trade, profession, and family.
David is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Sharon Crabb, his loving sons and best friends: Scott (Kimberlee) Crabb, Jeffrey Crabb, and James (Ashley) Crabb.
He was a proud and cherished “Bampy” to his nine grandsons who describe him as their hero: William, Jackson, Camden, Samuel, Carter, Gavin, Lincoln, Ethan, and Liam, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Also survived by Sisters Diana (John) Lowther and Susan Zook. Brother Don Crabb (Christine) and Brother-in-law Ken Forbes Sr, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his parents Iris and William (Bill) Crabb, Sister Cathy Forbes, Mother and Father-in-law Rose and Russell Dannatt, Sister-in-law Lily Crabb and Brother-in-law Tom Zook.
David was a great athlete and had a lifelong passion for sports and coaching (especially baseball and hockey), sharing his time and energy with his 3 boys and so many of their friends and teammates both on and off the field, rink and court. He especially treasured watching his grandsons in their various sports and activities, always their biggest supporter.
Some of his happiest and proudest moments in recent years were spent at the family’s acreage on Pine Coulee Reservoir - built from the ground up by him, his wife, kids, and grandkids - enjoying the outdoors and the beautiful lake and mountain views with family and friends all while "holding court" telling story after story with his incredible sense of humour and infectious, unmistakable, beautiful laugh.
David will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of sports and service to the youth of the community, tireless work ethic, and the lasting impact he had on his countless friends who were lucky enough to know him and love him.
At Dad's request - a celebration of life will be held and announced at a later date.
