Daisy Dangerfield

ELIZABETH ""DAISY"" DANGERFIELD of Vauxhall, beloved wife of Norman ""Darbo"" Dangerfield, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at ""almost ninety"".

Daisy was born on December 17, 1919 in Retlaw, AB. She spent her early childhood on the farm in Retlaw and graduated from the Retlaw Consolidated School. After graduating, she attended Normal School in Calgary before obtaining a teaching position with the Foremost School Division at Grain School, Knappen, AB. There she met and married her lifelong companion and partner of 66 years, Norman. They were married November 3, 1941 and raised three children, two boys and one girl.

They originally lived on Norman's family farm at Aden. In 1953 they moved to the Retlaw area. They resided there until 2002 when they moved to Columbia Assisted Living in Lethbridge. Daisy loved her flowers, gardening, playing cards and sewing. Family were of utmost importance to her.

Besides her loving husband, Norman (Darbo), Daisy is survived by her son Jim (Pam) Dangerfield, her daughter Gloria (Jim) Keim, her son Steven (Judy) Dangerfield; her grandchildren, Coral Dangerfield, Neil (Reet) Dangerfield, Donna (Garth) Dangerfield, Marnie (Bill) Dangerfield, Jason (Lisa) Smith, Chris (Rebekah) Smith, Lisa (Lance) Howg, and Kurt Dangerfield. She is also survived by her two brothers Doug (Mary) Stevenson and Bob Stevenson.

Daisy was predeceased by her brothers Dave and Bill Stevenson and sisters Mammie Johnson, Jenny Larson, and Margaret McCormick and a daughter-in-law Cheryl Dangerfield.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00 and 9:00 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 2114 - 18 Street Vauxhall, AB with Reverend Alana Johnson officiating. A Private Family Inurnment will take place at a later date.
