The Official Obituary of

Cornelius Straathof passed away in the comfort of family in Lethbridge on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the age of 65. Cor is survived by his wife Jo-Anne Fiske, daughter Tarra Heiman (Jeff), two sons Dean Straathof (Vanessa) and Miles Straathof (Shay) and three beautiful granddaughters Ivy, Kylah and Ella. Cor is also survived by his sisters Annie Starrenburg, Martha Rab, Theadora Straathof (Cerdic) and his brother Dirk Straathof (Evelyn), as well as his brothers-in-law Jim Fiske (Jan), Nick Brandhorst (Tressa) and Wim Rab (Cobi), sisters-in-law Judy Straathof and Carol Fiske, and mother-in-law Rose Fiske. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Opal Tagmann, numerous nieces and nephews, the mothers of his children, and the countless number of lives he touched. Cor is predeceased by his parents Theodorus and Martina Straathof; sisters Martina Klooster and Elizabeth Rab and brothers Gerard Straathof and Leen Straathof; brothers-in-law Gerrit Starrenburg, Thomas Rab and Ted Klooster; and sister-in-law Caroline Straathof. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge. An Interment will be held at 1:00 pm at the Huntsville Cemetery, Iron Springs on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 with a Celebration of His Life to follow at 3:00 pm at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with Reverend Andrew Horne officiating.
