1944-2009

Claudette Johnson of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on September 5th, 2009. Beloved mother of Eric Johnson of Vancouver, Linda (Calvin) Jones of Peace River, Claudia (Darryl) Cunningham of Sydney, NS, Bonnie (Rod) Kane of Calgary, Diane (Kerry) White of Lethbridge and proud grandmother of Steven, Adam, Bradley, Kooper, Kelsey and Katherine.

Claudettte was born in Quebec to Alphonse & Claire Beauregard. She was the oldest sibling of Francine, Jocelyn, Lucy, Alain, Luc and Yvon. She moved west in 1967 and quickly learned to speak English. After having her children she returned to college, eventually becoming an oilfield secretary. In her later years she became a retail merchandiser for Hallmark Canada, a job she truly loved.

Claudette was well known for her love of reading and rarely went anywhere without a book. She was very determined in her later years to have her own library and accomplished her goal. She was a member of the ""ladies who lunched"" group and loved to share in the company of all her friends. Anyone who met her was forever her friend.

Claudette was very adamant in her final wishes; in lieu of a funeral she wanted her family and friends to gather for a Celebration of Life party to be held in the lower level of ST. MARTHA'S CHURCH in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 355 Columbia Blvd W Lethbridge, AB on Friday September 11 beginning at 7:00 PM. We will begin sharing our fondest memories at 8:00 PM.

Claudette's family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude for all the prayers and well wishes from everyone. In lieu of flowers they ask that you please make a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Our treasured ""card lady"" will be greatly missed by all who knew her and we know she is watching over us now with a book in her hand and love in her heart.
