CHRISTINA MOODY (nee Willoughby) beloved wife of the late Nial Franklin Moody and mother of Beverly-Ann passed away June 19, 2008, at St. Michael's Health Centre. Christina was born in Hanover, Ontario on March 19, 1911. She came west in 1919 to Gladys Ridge district with her brother, Walter, following the passing of their parents and was raised by an aunt and uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Thomson. She married Nial (Frank) Moody in Calgary on February 4, 1937 and moved to Lethbridge in 1940. Besides her loving husband Frank, Chris was predeceased by four sisters and four brothers. Chris is survived by her loving daughter Beverley-Ann Burke of Lethbridge and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Chris was employed with the T. Eaton Co. for approximately 30 years, retiring in 1985. She loved her job and serving customers. She was a life member of the Order of the Royal Purple and over the years was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Lethbridge Senior Citizen's Organization.
Chris was an avid volunteer for many charities. She loved needlework and gardening and took a great deal of pride in everything she did. At Chris's request, a private funeral service will be held. Memorial donations may be made in Chris's memory to a charity of one's choice.
