Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 20, 2007, ALBERT HARRY CHEESMAN, of Lethbridge at the age of 90 years, beloved husband of the late Rosalie Cheesman.

Albert was born in Lethbridge April 29, 1917 and was employed by the Lethbridge Fire Department for 42 years. Although he retired in 1981, Albert remained a Firefighter at heart until his passing.

An avid walker, Albert walked to work almost every day during his employment with the Lethbridge Fire Department. In addition to his love of hiking, Albert enjoyed all types of dancing and was an active Square Dancer well into his mid-eighties.

Albert received the Governor Generals Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal in recognition of his many years of meritorious service to public security in Canada. He was a 34 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion and served on the Boards of many charitable organizations.

Albert was predeceased by his Father Harry Cheesman at Vimy Ridge during World War One and as a consequence was raised by his Grandmother Isabella. Albert mourned the passing of his Mother Isabel, Sisters; Gladys, Catherin, Hilda, his brother Jack and Grandson Ronald Gyulai.

He is survived by his loving Daughter Judy Gyulai and her Husband Daniel, his Grand Daughter Deanna Gillis and her Husband Kenneth, and Great Grand Children Ainsley and Riley Gillis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Private Family Memorial service was held November 28, 2007 with Major Glen Habkirk of the Salvation Army, officiating.
