MR. CALVIN ""SWEET"" DAY CHIEF ""IITAA MIOH KOO MII"" was called away by the Creator on Monday, December 7, 2009 surrounded by his family. Calvin is survived by his wife Rosebelle Day Chief; his children Andrew (Marlene), Ace (Crystal), Cade (Krystal), Shelly (Clayton), Elois (Bryan), Rochelle, Robin (Clayton), Lori (Jaden) and Delphine; brothers and sisters Richard (Geraldine), Gloria, Evans (Dolores), Ivan (Ritzie), Horace (Dolly), Dorothy, Theda (Floyd), Sheldon (Arlene), Darren (Sheryl), Carol, Ron (Kelli), Belinda (Rod), and Barbara and Auntie Betty Healy.

Calvin is also survived by the Day Chief, Weasel Fat, Healy, No Runner, Old Shoes, Beebe, Little Bear, Bull Shoe, Mountain Horse, Blood, Heavy Head, Cross Child, White Feathers, Hunt, Coming Singer, Scout, Calling Last, White Man, Small Eyes, Weasel Moccasin and Willows Families, as well as any families that may have been missed.

He was predeceased by Mrs. Dina Redcrow, Mrs. Helen Cochrane, Mrs. Mary Blood, Mrs. Mary McDonald, and Mrs. Louise Knife.

A Family Service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, December 11, 2009 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, followed by a Wake Service at the OLD SAIPOYI GYM, Standoff until 11:00pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Standoff, with Father Pawel Andrasz, O.M.I., celebrant. Interment will follow in the Blood Band Cemetery.

A Christmas Feast in honor of Calvin Day Chief and family will be held at the Kainai High School Gymnasium following the Graveside Service.
