Byron Yates

It is with great sadness that the family of Byron Cyril Yates of Lethbridge, Alberta, announce his passing on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the age of 60 years, surrounded by family.

Byron Yates was born in Castor, Alberta to Cyril and Irene (nee Robinson) Yates. His early years were spent moving throughout southern Alberta as his father trained to become a grain elevator agent and manager, before settling in Nobleford. Byron has resided in Lethbridge during his adult years.

Byron leaves behind his three children Amanda (Cory) Templin, Ashley Yates (Shelley), Bradley (Tia) Yates; four grandchildren Kashton, Carter, and Kaleb Templin and Makenna Yates. He also leaves behind his two sisters Joyce and Jackie and multiple nieces and nephews.

A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
