Bryce Patrick Segboer of Nobleford, beloved son of Tammy (Ken) and Bernie, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 29, 2026, at the young age of 26 years.

Bryce was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on July 26, 2000 to Tammy (Segboer) Taft and Bernie Coutu. He attended kindergarten through grade 12 at Noble Central School. During his junior and senior years, he played basketball, volleyball and soccer. He excelled at these sports, winning his team and himself a lot of awards. After graduating in 2018 he found his next passion with carpentry. After working with a few different employers, he found Winmar/Riverbend Developments. His passion for building homes is what inspired him to return back to school; where he attended Lethbridge Polytechnic and received his first year apprentice in carpentry. He was so proud of himself. Outside of work, Bryce loved spending his time outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He would spend every second with his rod in the water if he could. He enjoyed and took pride in teaching his craft of fishing to family and friends. Watching sports was one of Bryce’s favorite pastimes. He was obsessed with the Calgary Flames; being their number one die-hard fan. When there wasn’t an important game or fight on the TV, Bryce was excited to throw something on the smoker/BBQ and have friends over to listen to music and share some laughs. Bryce was often the loudest in any room. He had a happy laugh that was incredibly contagious and unique that really stood out in a crowd.

Besides his cats Simba and Luna, who he loved so much, he also left behind his loving mother Tammy and stepfather Ken Taft; sister Bailey Coutu; brothers Dalton Taft, Jesse Taft; grandma JoAnne Segboer; Nana Nancy Taft; aunt Terri (Shane) Segboer; uncle Jason (Leisha) Segboer; aunt Alyshia (Mark) Rogers; uncle Sean (Tamera) Taft; cousins Brandon, Eric, Makayli, Cowen, Ace and Tyler; as well as many relatives and friends across Canada and the United States.

Bryce was predeceased by his father Bernie Coutu; grandpa Bruce Segboer; granddad Ken Taft and uncle Brad Taft.

A Celebration of Bryce’s Life will be held between 1:00pm and 5:00pm, on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at NOBLEFORD COMMUNITY COMPLEX, 122 Kipp Street, Nobleford, Alberta.

Memorial donations in Bryce’s name can be made to the Alberta Conservation Association, 101 – 9 Chippewa Road, Sherwood Park, Alberta, T8A 6J7.
