Bruno Wiese

BRUNO WIESE, beloved husband of 62 years to Maria Wiese (Ozga), passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and friends at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the age of 94.

Bruno was born, raised and educated in Poland. He was a combat veteran of World War II and following the war immigrated to Canada in 1946 where he met his wife Maria in 1949. Bruno was a very religious man and was a long time member of St. Patrick's Church.

Bruno is survived by his wife Maria, his sons Jerry (wife Shelley Bird) and Edward (wife Karen), and his grandsons Matthew and Petr, along with his extended family in Poland. He is preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth and Ludwig, two brothers, three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at OUR LADY OF ASSUMPTION ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 - 12 Ave South, Lethbridge, with Father John Kohler celebrant.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of one's choice.
