J. Elaine Brown, wife of the late Allan Brown, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the age of 88 years.

Elaine is survived by her daughters Deb (Bob, deceased) Forsyth, Alana (Doug, deceased) Macfarlane; grandchildren Kyle (Lindsay) McNab & Shana (Dylan) Adkins; sister Sandra (Carmen) Going and her cousin and good friend, Karen Carney. Elaine was predeceased by her husband Allan; brother Maurice Crabb; sister Mona Tocher and sons in laws, Bob Forsyth & Doug Macfarlane.

Elaine was born on March 21, 1934 and raised in Lethbridge to Jesse and Mona Crabb.

Mom and dad were married October 12, 1957 and together created their family. Together they spent time at the family cottage at Beauvias Lake, camping with the grandchildren and Sunday night drives through town to make sure all of the neon lights were working and lighting up the sky. Mom would write it all down and the next day dad would go back to the shop in the morning (National Neon) to send his guys to fix it.

Mom was an avid bowler and one of her proudest moments was bowling her perfect game at Capri Bowl in 1968/1969 during her weekly league and she was declared bowler of the year.

Mom was busy in her years, loved golfing at the Country Club and perfecting her game. Mom and dad spent many years in their retirement traveling to Yuma every winter and spending time with dad’s cousins Ronald and Helen Brown.

You could always find mom with her grandchildren and daughters making lasting memories at Seely Lake, again with Ron & Helen, annual camping trips to Pine Lake, Lost Lemon, Columbia Falls and anywhere the grandkids suggested.

Mom was adventurous and loved a challenge. Her vibrancy will be missed and there will never be another grandma.

Elaine will be privately remembered by her family and friends. Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Riverview Chapel.
