Brenda Woodward
1942 ~ 2013
Born in Cornwall, Ont., Brenda passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease in Lethbridge AB., with her family by her side. She was a loving and generous woman, a devoted wife and a proud mother. Her strong spirit and undying enthusiasm touched many lives. Brenda lit up every room she entered. She moved to Montreal in the 1960's and again in 1990's, was a student at Marianopolis College, Dawson College and the University of McGill and was an ESL teacher. During the 1980's, she lived in Calgary, AB., was a member of the Junior League, on the fund raising committee of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and worked as a Realtor at Lyle Real Estate. Brenda skied around the world, was a ski instructor, and earned her race car license and scuba diving license. She will be remembered for her elegant style, her grace, her volunteerism and her ""joie de vivre"". She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Stanton Piedalue, her son Paul Woodward Piedalue, her daughter, Clara Audrey Piedalue and her two Grandchildren, Evie Campbell and Liam Campbell, all of Lethbridge, AB. And her brothers and sisters, Barbara Mitovich of Oakville, Ont., David Woodward of Portage la Prairie, MB., Robert (Bobby) Woodward of Calgary, AB., Penny Woodward of Victoria, BC, and Susan (Woodward)Hayward of Calgary, AB.. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in Brenda's loving memory.Condolence Section
