Brenda Holmes, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge on October 28, 2026, at the age of 77, following a lengthy battle with MS.
Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on September 22, 1949, to Gladys and Harry Jasman, Brenda grew up with a warm heart and an energetic spirit. Throughout her working years, she was a familiar and welcoming face to many in the community during her time at Zeller's and Coca-Cola. Outside of work, Brenda was a woman of many passions. She loved the outdoors and found great joy in camping and relaxing around a campfire. An active and creative soul, she was also an avid bowler, loved playing golf, and spent many quiet hours beautifully crocheting.
Brenda's greatest love, however, was her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Holmes, and her two children, daughter Rochelle Dorsey (Paul Erickson) and son Christopher Holmes (Kendra Holmes). She will be deeply missed by her five cherished grandchildren, Ashton Dorsey, Madison Dreeshan (Ivan Dreeshan), Miranda Berg, and Sheamus Holmes. She also leaves behind her sisters Bev Kultgen (Russell Kultgen) and Doreen Bock (Martin Bock) & her brother Rodney Jasman, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
Brenda was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Gladys Jasman, and her sister, Doris Redel.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Brenda's life during a visitation on Saturday, October 31, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM at Martin Brother's Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests that memorial donations be made in Brenda's name to the M.S. Society of Canada.
