WILLIAM GARTH BAKER passed away suddenly in his sleep on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the age of 31 years.
Bill was born in Lethbridge and throughout his school years was involved in all kinds of sports including football, rugby and skateboarding. He was the person we went to when there were computer questions. He enjoyed all kind of games with chess being one of his favorites; he played base guitar and loved his hydraulic car. Bill, lovingly known as ""Kramer"" always enjoyed entertaining his friends and even did a little standup at the comedy clubs.
After leaving school, Bill worked doing stucco for several years before moving to Edmonton to work on the oil rigs. He had just successfully completed schooling for his Level 1 Rig Technician and was returning to his job with Trniadad Rig 7.
While in Edmonton, Bill lived with his brother Mike and his family. The two brothers developed a deep and special bond. Mike's wife Jackie became Bill's daily companion and she went above and beyond to welcome Bill into their close family. This family time also brought Uncle Bill close to his nieces Jenna and Sara who were his main gaming competitors at home.
Bill is survived by his mother Judy Baker (Frankie Therrien), father Bob (Merna) Baker, brother Michael (Jackie) Baker, nieces Jenna and Sara Baker, sister Holly (Ryan) Halter, nephew Creedin, brother Tim (Mel) Shields, nephews Tr
