Betty Lou Colwell

Mrs. Betty Lou Colwell of High River, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at the age of 85 years.

Mom missed the love of her life greatly as Dad (William Clark Colwell) passed away recently in February of this year.

Mom grew up on the Haga farm in Vulcan, as the youngest of 9 children and remained close to her many family members there. She is fondly remembered for hosting large family dinners, having fun with the grandkids, always putting family first and her great laugh.

Mom is survived by Ivan (Darcy) Colwell, Michael (Joan) Colwell, Janelle (Cameron) Schmitt; grandchildren Kyle Colwell, Max Colwell, Kandice Sears, Clayton Schmitt, Rylan Schmitt and their partners, as well as great-grand daughter Mazie Schmitt; she is also survived by her brother Allan who resides in Vulcan.

Betty will be privately remembered by her friends and family.
