""BETTY"" JOYCE ELIZABETH BROUSSEAU (nee Potts) passed away suddenly in Coaldale on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the age of 55 years, beloved wife of Bill McMahon and mother to Johnnie & Joy.

Betty was born in Toronto and grew up attending numerous schools due to living the life of an army brat. She was a jack of all trades and wasn't afraid to try anything. See worked various jobs from fixing barb wire fences in fields to driving taxi to nursing. Betty's hobbies were antiquing for hidden treasures, sewing, computers, reading, sketching, painting, woodworking, patterns, collecting/restoration of dolls and antiques and playing games (she liked to beat Bill at dice aka take all of his cash!). She was fun loving and liked to joke, surprise people and make them happy, but also liked to do her own thing. Betty was family oriented and her family was her life, it meant the world to her and she loved to show it. She was always trying things to get them together. When you met Betty, you could not help but love her. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.

Besides her loving husband Bill, Betty is survived by her daughter Joy Stoddart (Trevor Mathews); son Johnnie Brousseau (Tracey Grunsky); grandchildren Nicole Stoddart, Blayne Marshall, Chelsea Stoddart, Jodee Mathews, Ayla Brousseau and Alexander Brousseau; sisters Jeanette (Ron) Sommerville, Kathleen (Lloyd) Dalton and Lori (Mark) Harrold; brothers John (Carolyn) Potts and Jimmy (Mary-Ann) Potts; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Betty was predeceased by her parents James Earnest and A. Joyce Potts.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

A Memorial Reception will be held at 2:00pm on July 19, 2008 at Joy Stroddart's Residence, 920 - 19 ""B"" Ave, Coaldale.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317 - 10 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 2M7.
