On Thursday August 27th, 2026, Bernice went home to be with the Lord at the age of 87 years.

Bernice was born in Cardston at the Blood Indian Hospital on April 1st, 1939. She was born to the late Sam and Emma Red Crow. She was the oldest of her siblings Phyllis, Keith, and Claudia.

She is survived by her children, Andrew, Ada, Arlene (J.R.), and Sandra (Stoney), son-in-law Tom Chief Calf, daughter-in-law Cheryl Hunt. Her sister Phyllis Bull Calf (Late Freddie Bull Calf), from Browning Montana, sister-in-law Rita Day Chief, 14 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Bernice was predeceased by her husband Alex Hunt Jr, daughters Ida Joyce, Annabelle, sons Clarence and Edward. Her parents Sam Red Crow and Emma First Rider, George First Rider. Siblings Keith (Sonny) Red Crow Sr, Claudia Red Crow, Lloyd Chief Calf. Nephews, Wilbert and Keith Jr Red Crow. Alvin Bull Calf, Alvin Bull Calf Jr. grandchild Matthew Thomas Chief Calf, great grandchildren Jamie Davis and Michael Ethan Hunt.

We would like to thank the home care nursing staff from the Blood Tribe Health Dept, Pam Day Chief, and Pamela Cole, and the entire staff of the Medicine Shoppe in South Lethbridge.

The Wake Service will be held at the First Nations Christian Fellowship Church, Cardston on Friday, September 4th, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Going home Celebration Service at the same location on Saturday, September 5th, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Bernice will be laid to rest at the Hunt Family Plot.
