MRS. BENETH DORAM passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the age of 84 years, with her loving family at her side. She was predeceased by ""the love of her life"" William (Bill) in November of 1981.

Beneth was born March 16, 1924 in Warner to John and Mary Lonsdale. She received her education in Warner and then moved to Lethbridge, where she worked for the RCMP. Beneth and William were married March 8, 1943. They farmed in the Chin area and were blessed with three children; Helen, David and Betty.

Beneth had a wonderful gift in that she could paint a rose on a plate so well that it looked like it was just picked. She enjoyed painting and attending the workshops for China painting but most of all she loved giving them to family and friends. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing crib, games and doing crafts. Beneth spent many hours sewing, knitting and crocheting.

Beneth was an active member of many clubs though the years. Chin Community Club, Pythian Sisters, Coaldale Arts & Crafts, Coaldale & Lethbridge China Painting Clubs, Minus One Club and Lethbridge Seniors Centre.

Beneth is survived by her daughter Helen (Dean) Determan and their four children, Cheryl (Dave) Whittle and their children Andrew and Coralie; Heather (Tim) Soltys and their children Amanda and Lauren; Darren (Gwen) Determan and their children James and Brittany; Darlene (Raymond) Somerville and their children Jenna, Hope and Rayanne; her son David (Marlene) Doram and their four children, Kelly (Kevin) Wiebe and their children Levi and Jami; Doug (Deane) Doram and their children Ryan and Jordan; Cindy (Mark) Greig and their children Kyra, Dara and Ridly; Wendy (Guy) Rook and their children Jaden, Logan and Teigen; her daughter Betty (Dave) Takahashi and their six children, Chuck McTighe, Bradley McTighe, Tiffany McTighe, Craig (Marie) Takahashi and their child Hayden; Blair (Shelli) Takahashi and their children Levi and Tyler; Jaime (Shawn) Morasch; Sister's Caroline (Bill) Hamilton, Hap (Herb) Keuhn; In-laws Verna Wiest, Bob Burton and Kay Lavers.

Besides her loving husband Bill, Beneth was predeceased by her sisters Alice (Lind) Jensen, Edith (Harold) Orcutt, Pat (Wilmer) Optiz; Brothers John Lonsdale, Ed Lonsdale; Son-in-law Ric McTighe and special friend George McFall.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:00pm, on Friday, September 12, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4th St., S., Lethbridge, AB.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, on Saturday, September 13, 2008, at FIRST UNITED CHURCH, 502 - 13 St., N., Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating.
