MR. GEORGE BEKEFY of Lethbridge, beloved companion of Audrey Hadford, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2009 at the age of 87 years.
Born in Hungary on April 19, 1921, he immigrated to Canada after the Hungarian Revolution. He was a lover of sport, soccer being his favorite, which he played at an international level. George began his training as an electrician in Hungary and retired in Canada as a Master Electrician.
Besides his loving companion Audrey, George is survived by his daughters Magdolna and Ildiko of Hungary as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren in Hungary. He was predeceased by one son, Lacz.
A private family service will be held.
