Ronald ""Ron"" Batsford 1933 ~ 2014 Ronald ""Ron"" Batsford, beloved husband of Betty Dickson, passed away after many courageous battles with health issues on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the age of 81 years. Ron is survived by his companion of 22 years Betty, his children Lance (Babette), Charles (Lindsay), Kevin (Lenore), Brad Dickson and Kristy Dickson; and his grandchildren Mikala, Jordan, Jessie, and Tatiana and his two sisters Ruth and Joyce. Ron was predeceased by his parents Charles and Pat Batsford. Ron was involved in many different charities around Lethbridge and he worked as a Police Officer in Calgary. He worked at the LCI High School until his retirement. Ron loved to golf, fish, camp, and spend time with his family and friends. Every week you could find Ron playing Texas Holdem with his buddies at the Nord-Bridge Senior Centre. He had a passion for vintage classic cars. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre, 1904 13 Avenue North, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1H 4W9.
