MRS. PHYLLIS MAY BACEDA, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Baceda, passed away peacefully at Lethbridge Extendicare on March 25, 2012 at the age of 81 years.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her children, Garry (Joyce) Baceda, Rhonda (Rodney) Maxwell; her grandchildren Lana (Adam) Midgley, Jonathan (Lenita) Bracha, Geoffrey Maxwell, Corbin Maxwell; and great-grandchildren Taylor Midgley, MacKenzie Midgley, Ceili Bracha and Kiera Bracha. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband John Baceda, brother Harold Farries, brother Merrill Farries, daughter Donna Vasil, son-in-law Allen Bracha, and grandson Trenton Bracha.

Phyllis was born on February 5, 1931, in Del Bonita, AB, to parents Cameron and Ruth Farries. She attended school in Del Bonita until the end of grade eight and then moved to Lethbridge in 1944 where she finished high school at LCI. She married John on February 14, 1948, a beautiful marriage that lasted fifty-seven and a half years.

She worked at General Construction, then as office manager at Tollestrup Construction in Lethbridge, retiring at age 60 to the Crowsnest Pass. Phyllis was very active in the Order of the Royal Purple in Lethbridge. She loved to go camping and travelling, loved her years with John in the Crowsnest Pass, and became an active member in the Crowsnest community. After John passed, Phyllis moved to Coaldale to be near her daughters.

Phyllis was a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart, a wonderful mother and friend. She will be missed dearly.
