Arthur Foster

ARTHUR ""ART"" J. FOSTER of Picture Butte, beloved husband of Alice Foster, passed away at Piyami Lodge on Monday, May 2, 2011 at the age of 97 years.

Besides his loving wife Alice, Art is survived by his sons; Gary, Brian, Calvin (Patricia), and James (Sandra), his daughter Carol, thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters; Merle Atkinson, Lorna Murray, and Wilda Murray, along with his brother Gordon Foster and daughter- in- law Fran. Arthur was predeceased by his parents George and Ruth Foster, and his son Douglas and daughter-in-law Helen.

Art was born in Iron Springs, and was a long-time resident of Picture Butte. He worked for the Roger's Sugar Company for 38 years. During this time he served for two years in the Canadian Army.

A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 pm in Archmount Cemetery following a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Reverend Glenda Wert, officiating.
