ANTOINETTE (NETTIE) FABBI passed away peacefully with family Tuesday, April 5th, 2011 at the age of 96 years.
Antoinette was born in Taber, to Dominica and Arduino Locatelli. She was raised with her three siblings Peo, Jean and Carl in Coalhurst. She married Stanley Fabbi in October 1st, 1936 at St. Patrick's in Lethbridge.
Nettie, as she was familiarly called, worked in the hospital in Coalhurst for a time and then worked, as a young woman, in Kreskies 5 & 10 cent store in Lethbridge. They lived for a time in the Crowsnest Pass operating the Pass Dairy and from 1948-1959 they lived in Medicine Hat were Stan operated a branch of Purity Dairy. As Purity Dairy expanded he returned to help his brother with head office operations of Purity Dairy in Lethbridge.
During the Dairy time Antoinette stayed home with her children. She was a 70 year member of the C.W.L., curled, bowled, and helped with all the kids' activities like cubs & scouts.
She is survived by her sons Dr. Ron Fabbi (Dana) and Ken Fabbi, three grandchildren Jeunine Champagne (Kevin & children Jordan & Rocco), Blaize (Mylissa & son Mylo), and Joshua, her sister Jean Palmer and many nieces & nephews.
Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 8:00 pm on Friday, April 8th, 2011 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 12th Avenue South, Lethbridge.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Father Tomy Manjaly, officiating.
