MRS. ANNETTA DUNCAN of Warner, beloved wife of Mr. Bill Duncan, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the age of 61 years.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Bill, sons; Travis (Sarah Herman), and Aaron (Lisa Hoover), three sisters; Darlene (Mel) Hoffer, Carol (Harvey) Wasilow, and Janice (Graham) Markert, and sister-in-law Marsha (Rick) Alsip, of De Winton, Alberta. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members are also in deep sorrow.

She was predeceased by her parents Alex and Arkley Gold, and in-laws Allan and Mary Duncan.

Annetta was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on June 8, 1949. She attended school in Piapot and Maple Creek and studied Laboratory Technology at the University of Saskatchewan. She pursued her career in hospitals in Saskatoon, Calgary, Lethbridge and Raymond before marrying Bill Duncan in June, 1982. They settled on the family farm at New Dayton where they raised their sons, Travis and Aaron. Annetta was an active farm wife, being an integral part of every aspect of the farm - from calving to accounting. She was active in the Warner 4-H Club for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker, a steward in the community, and a great friend and neighbor to all. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the WARNER CIVIC CENTRE, Warner, Alberta, with Reverend Trevor Potter, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Annetta's memory may be made to the Warner Fire Department, Box 88, Warner, AB T0K 2L0, or to the Raymond Fire Department, c/o Charlie Holt, Box 689, Raymond, AB T0K 2S0.
