Andy Ambrosi

MR. ANDY AMBROSI passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 20, 2010.

Dad was born on July 13, 1935 in Draas, Romania. His family immigrated to Canada in 1951 and settled in Magrath, Alberta. In 1958 he married the love of his life, Mary, in Ontario and brought her back to Magrath. After a long career with Alberta Environment as a heavy machine operator and then foreman, Dad attained ""Freedom 55"" and he and Mom spent the next 20 years enjoying retirement. Dad loved to build just about anything, to putter in his garage/workshop, and work in his flower garden. He was an avid golfer and bowler, and for many years enjoyed his annual trek to Vegas.

He will be remembered by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary; his children Linda; Mark (Deb) and their children Kyle, Kevin, Jordan and Jodi; Randy (Lorri) and their children Tyson and JJ; his brother Mike (Ruth) and sisters Kathe and Sara, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Sara; his brothers, Fred and John; and his sister Anna.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 26, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Brian Amison, officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date.
