MR. AMOS HARRIS TORGERSON of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Yvonne Torgerson, passed away with his family at his side after a courageous fight on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the age of 86 years.

Amos was born on May 22, 1920 in Weyburn, SK to Rudolph and Mabel Torgerson and was raised on a farm just outside Coronach, SK. Through school he was great at math and very artistic. After graduating high school Amos was a Journeyman Carpenter, retiring in 1986 from Fording Coal in Elkford, BC. Amos moved to Lethbridge in August of 2001. He loved all card games, bocce, curling, golf, walking and traveling. Amos was a founding and life member of the Royal Canadian Legion #279, member of the 50+ Club in Elkford, member of the Army, Navy and Air Force here in Lethbridge.

Amos is survived by his 5 daughters Anna-Maria (Eldon) Fauller, Frances (Orval) Everett, Marjorie Sarnia, Heather (Roy) Allen and Susan (Rick) Taranoff; 2 sons Richard Torgerson and Kevin Christmas; 12 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Amos was predeceased by his parents Mabel and Rudolph, sister Hazel Johanson and brother Raymond Torgerson.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 12:00PM and 1:00PM on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St. South, Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with Pastor Jason Anderson, officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
