Alice Foster

MRS. ALICE FOSTER of Picture Butte, beloved wife of the late Mr. Arthur ""Art"" Foster passed away at Piyami Lodge on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at the age of 98 years.

Alice was born in Winnifred, Alberta to John and Gunnhild Krokum on December 25, 1914. She married Arthur Foster of Picture Butte on October 12, 1937 and together they raised 6 children.

Alice is survived by her children Gary, Brian, Calvin (Patricia) and James (Sandra); 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Gladys Hodgson, Edna Penrose and Ruth Haddow as well as numerous nieces' nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter Carol and son Douglas; siblings Anna, Melvin, Mabel, Jesse, Hilda, Arne and Doris; daughter in law Helen; as well as a great-grandson.

Alice spent her life being the ""connecting link"" for the family as she knew all the details and could tell you about everyone from the youngest to the oldest.

A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 pm in Archmount Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at 1:30 pm on Wednesday January 16, 2012 at TRINTY UNITED CHURCH, 528 Maple Crescent, Picture Butte, AB with Reverend Glenda Wert, officiating.
