MR. ALEXANDER WILLIAM PARK of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Lynda Park, passed away Wednesday February 11, 2009 at the age of 72 years.
Born Friday November 13th, 1936 in Michel B.C. to parents Emma and Joe Park, Alex was the second of eight children. At the age of 12, Alex and his family moved to Lethbridge in 1948. Later Alex started with the Lethbridge Police Service in 1958 and retired with 30 years of service in 1987, to pursue his passions of fishing, hunting, golfing, camping, woodworking and simply spending time with family and friends. Alex was a true outdoorsman.
Alex's quick wit and his unique sense of humor will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Besides his loving wife Lynda, Alex is survived by his two daughters Nanette (Byron McClure) and Jolane Galloway (Brent); son Michael (Ruth) as well as his three adored grandchildren; Megan, Rachel and Sean. Alex is also survived by his sister Lorna Pringle and five brothers; Allan, Stuart, Joseph, Larry and Bruce; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Alex was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Emma; sister Marlene; as well as one infant son Mitchell.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm, on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating.
