Alex Beaton

ALEXANDER GLEN BEATON of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Fran Beaton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the age of 67 years.

Alex was born in Saint Andrews, Manitoba. He retired from the City of Calgary's Parks & Rec. Department after numerous years of safety awards and recognitions. His love for the outdoors and doing yard work continued from the day he retired until the day he left us.

Besides his loving wife Fran, Alex is survived by his ""favorite person in the whole world"", his granddaughter Cassidy Alexandra Beaton; his daughters Debbie and Shelane and his sons Garry, Dale, Shane, Darren and Devon. Alex had many grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his sisters Dolly, Shirley, Lorna and his brother Abby.

Alex was predeceased by his parents Jack and Ethel and his brother Jackie.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 2:30pm and 3:00pm, on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4 St. S, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with cremation to follow.
