Albert Lord

1930 ~ 2018

Albert William (Bill) Lord of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Joyce Mabel Lord (nee Forrest), passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2018 at the age of 87 years.

Dad was born on March 28, 1930 in Medicine Hat, Alberta to Robert & Esther Lord. He was the youngest and only brother to 4 sisters, Doreen, Esther, Jenny & Florence (Babs). In 1948 he joined the Navy and served in the Korean War on the HMCS Sioux as a Sonar Operator. After his discharge in 1953, he joined the Air Force as a firefighter, serving in Claresholm, St. Jean, Moose Jaw, Rivers & London before retiring from the Armed Forces in 1972. Dad then returned to his home town of Taber to serve as Fire Chief until 1988.

Dad’s legacy will be carried on by his three children, Sharon Lagace from Las Vegas, Bob Lord (Sheila) from Okotoks and Debbie Moore (JD) from Lewistown, MT and by his 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB.
