Agnes Marie Gilmore of Lethbridge passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, just two days before her 97th birthday.
Agnes is lovingly remembered by her son Don (Cheryl) Gilmore; daughter Barbara Gilmore; grandchildren Adam, Tia, Cassandra, and Michelle; brother Edward Dietrich; sister-in-law Donna Terry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
Agnes was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Elizabeth Dietrich; her precious son Alexander; her brothers Frank, Walter, and Arthur; her sisters-in-law Doreen and Emily; and her close friend, Joe Kaytor.
An avid sports fan, Agnes enjoyed cheering on her beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders and following hockey. She treasured time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren, and took great joy in being part of their lives as they grew up. Agnes always welcomed visitors and loved engaging in conversation, never short of a story or two about days gone by. Visits from family and friends continued to bring her much happiness during her years at Edith Cavell Care Centre.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff at Edith Cavell Care Centre for their unwavering kindness, compassion, and care for Agnes.
In accordance with Agnes' wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held with family at a later date.
