MRS. ADELE PETERSON of Warner, beloved wife of Mr. Hal Dean Peterson, passed away peacefully with her husband, brother and sister-in-law at her side, at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the age of 66 years.

Born on May 27, 1943 at West Bend, Saskatchewan, to parents John and Anna Bryksa. She attended school at Horse Lake, Saskatchewan. Adele moved to Regina and graduated from Marvel School of Beauty after which she started her career in hairdressing. This career brought her to Warner, AB where she met her husband, Hal Dean Peterson. Adele was a farm wife first, which included everything from gardening to running the combine at harvest time. She was a long serving member of the Royal Purple which included 2 years as Honored Royal Lady.

Every winter Adele and Hal spent time travelling to warmer climates. Adele also loved their yearly trips to Waterton Lakes and fishing at Cameron Lake. Above all, Adele loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Besides her loving husband Hal Dean, Adele is survived by her son Calvin (Judy) of Athabasca, AB; daughter Mona of Pincher Creek, AB; grandchildren Sara, John, Kristen, Tara; brothers Meril (Jeanette), Mike (Gail), Don (Eileen); sisters-in-law Jean Bryksa, Jen Peterson; brother-in-law Reuben Norbeck; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Adele is predeceased by her parents John and Anna; sisters Rose (Lloyd) Baptist, Marie (Willard) Archibald, Stina Bryksa, Pat (Ralph) Zuehlke, Ann (Victor) Dvernichuk, Emily Norbeck; brothers Walter (Sophie), Billy; and brother-in-law Frank Peterson.

Family and friends may pay their respects between 7:00pm, and 8:30pm, on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm, on Monday, February 1, 2010, at the WARNER EVANGELICAL MISSIONARY CHURCH, 301 - 5 Ave., Warner, Alberta, with Pastor Jason Carroll, and Pastor Brian Magee officiating. Interment to follow in the Warner Cemetery.
