Marvin "Marv" Hogg

Mr. Marvin “Marv” Guy Hogg of Lethbridge, beloved companion of Lise O’Meara and loving father to Melissa DeBelser, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the age of 62 years.

Marv was born in High River, Alberta. He lived everywhere from Calgary, Vancouver, Beaverlodge and even the Artic throughout his early life. Eventually Marv settled in the Lethbridge area in 1980.

Digitune Automotive Inc. was Marv’s’ life’s work and passion where he proudly served his customers for over 25 years. Not only was it a business, but also a place where friendships and lasting relationships were made. Many came into Digitune to have their car fixed and left with a lifelong friend.

Marv also had many other talents and interests. He was an avid baseball player, music lover, guitar player, golfer, curling skip, camping enthusiast, master carpenter, skilled landscaper, motorbike rider, amateur pilot and most importantly could give the biggest and best hugs.

Marv loved and valued his customers, friends and family above all else.

Besides his “sweetie” Lise, Marv is survived by his daughter Melissa DeBelser (Mitch); stepchildren Chris O’Meara (Leah), Odessa O’Meara, Shannon O’Meara and father Albert Hogg. Marv was the proud, and very best, Granddad to five grandchildren Brennan Warner, Dylan Rowley, Emma Rowley, Tia Rowley, and Elliot O’Meara.

 Marv was predeceased by his mother Ruth Hogg and brother Edwin Hogg.

A Celebration of Marv’s Life will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Digitune Automotive, 2913 12 Avenue North, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Glenda Wert, officiating.

Cremation has been entrusted to Martin Brothers Riverview Chapel.
