Martin Brothers Funeral Services has been providing compassionate end-of-life care to families in Lethbridge and Southern Alberta since 1907. The foundation of our service is our dedicated staff, who embody our enduring commitment to being the people you know and the friends you trust. Today, we are proud to introduce the newest addition to our front office team, Kat.
Born and raised in Taber, Kat graduated from W. R. Myers in 2025. Her drive to join the funeral profession stems from witnessing the profound support local funeral workers provided within her hometown. Having navigated various kinds of grief firsthand, Kat felt called to lend a hand to others going through their own difficult journeys. She initially volunteered as a funeral attendant to gain experience before officially joining our administrative team and relocating to Lethbridge.
As an Office Administrator, Kat brings a deep sense of empathy and patience to every family she assists. For her, the most rewarding part of the job is designing custom memorial cards. She views this creative process as a special opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate the unique legacy of each individual we serve.
Before beginning her career with us, Kat dedicated 13 years to figure skating—including a year as a coach—and played rugby throughout high school. Outside of the office, she cherishes her time spent with family, friends, and her two beloved pets, Cujo and Spector. A creative spirit at heart, Kat enjoys art and movies, and she fully embraces the summer months by swimming and going camping.
